Samuel H. Porter

Samuel H. Porter, III is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Partner at Ice Miller LLP since June 2019. Porter has extensive experience in compliance and legal advisory, having previously held the position of Regional Director of Compliance at Penn National Gaming and the Ohio Liquor Control Commission's Executive Director. Additionally, Porter served as a member of the Ohio Historic Site Preservation Advisory Board from November 2018 to March 2024, appointed by former Governor John Kasich and reappointed by Governor Mike DeWine. With a robust background as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office and legal roles dating back to 2006, Porter offers a diverse skill set. Porter holds a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from Wake Forest University.
