Hayk Mkrtchyan

Hayk Mkrtchyan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in high-frequency trading and software architecture. Currently serving as Architect and Co-Head of Pillar at ICE since May 2016, Hayk previously held the role of Senior Director at HC Technologies, LLC, where responsibilities included the research, implementation, and management of high-frequency trading strategies in FX and futures markets. Prior to this, Hayk was President of Magic Works LLC, overseeing the research and development of trading strategies and the architecture of low-latency trading systems. Earlier career roles include Group Manager at Ponte Solutions and Senior Software Engineer at Ponte Solutions Armenia, as well as a Software Engineer at Mosaic Systems. Hayk holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Yerevan Physics Institute and a Masters in Theoretical Physics from Yerevan State University, complemented by a high school diploma from Phys-Math School.
