Anna Marino

Assistant Researcher at iCellate

Anna Marino has a diverse work experience in the field of medical research. Anna started their career at Karolinska Institutet in 2001, where they focused on brain cancer research and later shifted their research to cancer immunology and DNA oxidative stress. Anna worked as an Assistant Researcher at iCellate Medical AB in 2015. Currently, they are serving as a Research Associate at Karolinska Institutet, working on an immunology project for the preclinical evaluation of antibodies for brain tumors and immunotherapy.

Anna Marino has a diverse education history. Anna attained their Licentiate degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Universidad Metropolitana (VE) in 1992. Following this, from 1992 to 1996, they pursued their Premedical Sciences Biology degree with a focus on Molecular Biology at Emmanuel College (Boston). Anna then attended Harvard Medical School, completing their Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies from 1993 to 1997. Continuing their education, they obtained a Master's degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Nottingham between 1999 and 2001. Later, from 2005 to 2007, Anna engaged in Cancer Research studies at Ulster University. Finally, they pursued a PhD (licentiature) in medical sciences with a focus on Brain Cancer research at Karolinska Institutet from 2010 to 2012.
