Gabriel Sánchez

Gabriel Sánchez is a highly skilled Space Systems Engineer currently employed at ICEYE since November 2022, focusing on the research and development of robotic subsystems through orbital mechanics simulations and kinematic analysis. Prior experience includes serving as a Satellite Communication Engineer for Project APTAS, where Gabriel implemented ground station software using software defined radio and custom programming. Additional roles encompass engineering positions at the Swedish Institute of Space Physics and Intel Corporation, where Gabriel worked on electronics prototyping and design tools for GPU and SOC designs, respectively. Academic credentials include two Master's degrees—one in Space Science and Technology from Luleå University of Technology and another in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University—along with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad de Costa Rica. Gabriel also contributed to academia as a lecturer on VLSI at Universidad de Costa Rica.
