Jon Claxton

Jon Claxton is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in natural resources management, currently serving as the Natural Resources Team Leader at SWCA Environmental Consultants since July 2006. In this role, Jon focuses on environmental services for transportation projects throughout California, with significant expertise in the Highway Bridge Program in San Luis Obispo and neighboring counties. Prior experience includes roles as a Biologist at Padre Associates, Inc. and a Botanist at Arroyo Chico Resources, where botanical surveys were conducted within the Carrizo Plain for the Bureau of Land Management. Jon also worked as an Environmental Specialist at the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board, performing CDFG Protocol Surveys for benthic macro-invertebrates. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, attained between 1998 and 2001.
