Tom Overman

Tom Overman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and information assurance, currently serving as a Fellow and Technical Director at ICF since June 2016, where responsibilities include acting as a FEMA Program Delivery Manager for disaster response initiatives. Prior experience includes founding Overman Consulting, LLC, focusing on information assurance in the energy and aviation sectors, and working as a Technical Executive at EPRI, where Tom engaged in cybersecurity research projects. Overman has also held managerial roles such as Information Assurance Manager at Hawaiian Electric Company and served in various positions throughout a 33-year career in the US Navy Reserve, retiring as a Commander. Earlier professional roles include Systems Security Engineer at The Boeing Company and leadership positions at Exodus Communications and Applied Materials. Overman holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Math and Physics from Warren Wilson College.
