Johann Osmond has extensive experience in nanofabrication and photonics, currently serving as a Nanofabrication Lab Scientific Officer and Staff Researcher at ICFO since September 2009, focusing on the development of micro/nanofabrication processes for photonic devices utilizing various advanced techniques. Prior to this, Johann worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Silicon Photonics research group at the Institut d'Electronique Fondamentale, and as a microfabrication engineer and cleanroom manager at Politecnico di Milano during doctoral studies. Earlier positions include engineering roles at Pirelli Labs/Bicocca University and CoreCom, where activities ranged from microfabrication of polymer photonic devices to performance analysis of WDM transmission. Johann's educational background includes degrees in optics and physics from Politecnico di Milano and Centrale Méditerranée, respectively.
