Andrew Garton

Director, Translational Sciences at Ichnos Sciences

Andrew Garton has extensive experience in the field of translational sciences and pharmaceutical research. Their most recent position is as the Director of Translational Sciences at Ichnos Sciences, where they started in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Translational Sciences at Cellectis from April 2017 to November 2021. Andrew also served as the Associate Director of Translational Medicine at Kolltan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from June 2015 to October 2016. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Andrew Garton worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Newcastle University. Andrew has held various leadership positions throughout their career, overseeing pharmacology studies, biomarker identification platforms, and in vitro biology components of oncology projects. Andrew Garton received a BSc in Biochemistry (Medical) from the University of Surrey in 1985. Andrew then went on to complete a PhD in Biochemistry at Newcastle University from 1985 to 1988. Additionally, they hold a certification in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.
