Sumit Singh

Sumit Singh is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and merchant banking. Currently serving as Vice President at ICICIdirect since July 2021, Sumit has previously held leadership roles, including Deputy Vice President at IDBI Capital Markets & Securities Ltd. from September 2014 to July 2021, and Deputy Manager at Karvy Investor Services Limited from December 2010 to September 2014. Sumit’s expertise encompasses a range of financial transactions, including IPOs, Rights Issues, Open Offers, Buybacks, and QIP Transactions. Early career experiences include positions at SPA Merchant Bankers Ltd. and IDBI Capital, complemented by a Management Trainee role at Tata Consultancy Services. Sumit holds an MBA in Finance from IBS Hyderabad (2007-2009) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore (2001-2005).
