Gemma Aragay

Group Scientific Coordinator

Gemma Aragay studied chemistry at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, graduating in 2006. They completed a Master's in Chemical Science and Technology at the same university and earned a PhD through collaboration between UAB and Institut Català de Nanotecnologia. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the “Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors” group at ICN, focusing on nanomaterials for pollutant detection. Since 2017, they have served as Group Scientific Coordinator at ICIQ, concentrating on the synthesis and characterization of supramolecular structures. Gemma has authored 24 scientific articles and engages in scientific outreach aimed at young researchers.
