Jarita K. has held various roles in the fields of journalism, marketing, and communications. Currently working as a Communications Officer at ICLEI Africa, they are responsible for managing digital channels for the Covenant of Mayors in Sub-Saharan Africa initiative. Previously, they have experience as a Junior Field Reporter at Eyewitness News, Marketing Intern at Allan Gray Proprietary Limited, Editor In Chief and Opinions Editor at Varsity Newspaper (UCT), Transformation Officer at UCT Debating Union, and Deputy Editor at Sax Appeal. With a Bachelor of Social Science in Politics, Philosophy, Economics, and French from the University of Cape Town, they bring a diverse skillset to their work.
