Petra Heinevetter

Petra Heinevetter has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Petra currently works at ICLEI as the Head of Human Resources and Administration since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Officer in the same department from May 2022 to May 2023. Before joining ICLEI, Petra was the Head of HR at Lindenberg-Anlagen GmbH from April 2020 to December 2021. Petra also had a period of freelance work and self-employment from November 2018 to March 2020, during which they focused on career reorientation, private projects, and further education. Petra's longest tenure was at Galeria Kaufhof GmbH where they held multiple roles. From December 2004 to October 2018, they served as the Personal and Organizational Manager. Prior to this, they were the Geschäftsführerin Filiale (Branch Manager) and the HR Business Partner from 1997 to 2003 and 1995 to 1997, respectively. During their time at Galeria Kaufhof GmbH, Petra was actively involved in various HR projects and played a significant role in implementing organizational changes and developing new methods and tools. Petra also successfully contributed to the creation of the company's service handbook and served as a moderator for upward assessments.

Petra Heinevetter has a diverse education history. In 1987-1988, they attended the Industrie- und Handelskammer Mannheim and completed a program in Einzelhandelskauffrau. In 1988-1989, they pursued further education at Galeria Kaufhof GmbH, earning a degree in Abteilungsleiterassistentin/Handelsfachwirt. Following this, they studied at the Industrie- und Handelskammer Friedberg, where they obtained a degree in AEVO, AdA, specializing in Ausbildereignung. In 1995-1997, Heinevetter attended AKAD University for a Zertifikatsstudium in BWL, VWL, and angewandtes Marketing. Continuing their education, they pursued a Bachelor Professional of Human Resources Management (CCI) degree with a specialization in HR Management from the Industrie- und Handelskammer Bonn from 2018-2019. In 2019, they attended wifa School of English in Bonn and received a TOEIC-CERTIFICATE in Business English.
