Dai S. has a diverse and impressive work experience in the financial industry. Starting in 1999, Dai worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Swiss Re, gaining exposure in various areas such as underwriting, actuary, finance, marketing, and strategic planning. They oversaw a significant number of insurance companies and provided detailed reports on cash flow, competitive analysis, and trend analysis.
In 2005, Dai joined Fitch Ratings as a Finance Manager, where they implemented a new financial reporting system, leading to streamlined processes and reduced reporting preparation time.
From 2007 to 2009, Dai served as Vice President at Citi, responsible for management reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning. They successfully managed annual budgets and played a crucial role in reallocating funds for automation projects that contributed to overall business success.
Moving on to Prudential Corporation Asia, Dai served as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2009 to 2011. They led the financial planning and analysis team, overseeing financial and operational performance for thirteen entities. They also played a key role in management reporting, quarterly business dialogues, and annual strategic planning.
At AXA, Dai took on the role of Shadow CFO for South East Asia and China from 2011 to 2015. They managed several AXA life and P&C entities, including joint ventures with local banks or insurance companies. Dai led a significant M&A deal worth $500 million, positioning AXA as the top foreign insurer in Asia.
From 2015 to 2020, Dai was the CFO of the Group Retirement Business at Equitable. They managed a substantial business portfolio with impressive figures in gross premiums, AUM, and underlying earnings. Dai also supported the EQH IPO, the largest deal of 2018.
Most recently, Dai joined MissionSquare Retirement in 2020 as the Chief Financial Officer. They oversee various aspects of the organization, including management and regulatory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounting, treasury and capital management, RFP pricing, taxation, financial operations, M&A, internal audit, and corporate real estate.
Dai S. completed a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Business School in 1999. In 2019, Dai S. pursued a certificate in Sustainability Studies from Columbia University and a certificate in International Organization Management from the University of Geneva. In addition, Dai S. obtained several certifications including Nonprofit Management Foundations, Transformational Leadership, and Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from LinkedIn Learning in 2019 and 2018.
