Miguel Moreira

Miguel Moreira is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in composite manufacturing and operations management. Currently serving as the Head of Composite Manufacture at iCOMAT since March 2025, Miguel previously held the position of Head of Operations at AMRC from October 2017 to February 2025, where significant operational transformations resulted in annual savings of £200k and improved staff morale. Miguel's career includes roles as Technical Lead (Operations) at Meggitt Polymers & Composites, where leadership in manufacturing engineering activities for Rolls-Royce components led to notable improvements in efficiency, and as a Process Engineer at Cobham Composites and NetComposites, focusing on natural fibres and various resins. With a background in development engineering at INEGI and resource integration at Qimonda, Miguel's technical expertise is complemented by a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.
