Joanne Painter

Joanne Painter is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic digital and creative agency roles. Since September 2013, Painter has served as the Group Managing Director at Icon Agency, a collaborative digital and communications firm. Concurrently, Painter has held the position of Managing Director at Icon Reputation since June 2020, specializing in crisis management and reputation enhancement. Prior to these roles, Painter co-founded Icon Agency and served as the Managing Director, as well as holding the position of Chief Executive Officer at Icon.Inc from 2001 to 2013, where responsibilities included strategic direction and leadership in communications consultancy. Earlier in the career, Painter worked as a journalist at The Age and Leader Newspapers, focusing on education, industry, and business reporting. Joanne Painter holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Melbourne.
