Duncan Anderson

Project Management Specialist at ICON

Duncan Anderson has a diverse and extensive work experience. Duncan is currently working as a Project Management Specialist at ICON since October 2019. Prior to this, they were a self-employed Lean Consultant starting from April 2016.

From December 2012 to April 2016, Duncan served as the Managing Director of The Montague Ltd, a hospitality management and lean consultancy company. In this role, they ran the main venue of the company, The Matakana Village Pub, and supported manufacturing and construction clients with their business improvement challenges.

From September 2014 to September 2015, Duncan worked as the Project and Sales Director at Figured.com, where they collaborated with the founders and partners to launch a smart cloud accounting platform for farm accounting and the farmer market.

Previously, Duncan served as the NZ Director of KM&T, a global business improvement advisory firm specializing in operational improvement, from September 2008 to January 2014. Duncan also worked as a Director at Strategy Toolbox from April 2003 to September 2008.

Before that, Duncan held the position of Managing Director at Hampden Fence from January 2004 to March 2008. Duncan also gained experience as a Business Manager Technology at Merrill Lynch from October 1999 to September 2001 and as a Consultant at IBM Global Services from January 1998 to October 1999.

Duncan Anderson began their education in 1987 at Lincoln University in New Zealand. Duncan pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting. Duncan completed their studies in 1990.

Duncan later continued their education in 2002 at Otago University, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Duncan'sfocus during this program was on Operations and Strategy. The program lasted for a year, and they completed it in 2003.
