Amit Kar

Amit Kar is currently the Clinical Data Science Lead at ICON plc, a position held since October 2022, previously serving as a Senior Clinical Data Coordinator. Prior experience includes a tenure at Cognizant from January 2017 to September 2022 as a Data Management Team Lead, where responsibilities encompassed study start-up processes, data validation checks, and discrepancies management during study conduct phases. Additionally, Amit worked as a Data Analyst and Clinical Data Manager at Sutherland Healthcare Solutions from July 2014 to July 2016, focusing on the accurate analysis and coding of medical records to ensure high-quality healthcare data. Earlier career experience includes a role as a Project Associate at Data-Core (India) Pvt. Ltd. from August 2013 to June 2014. Amit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from West Bengal University of Technology, obtained from 2008 to 2012.
