Carlos Serra

Carlos Serra is currently the Director of FSA Project Management at ICON plc, where they provide strategic and operational leadership within the Feasibility, Study Start-Up and Activation department, managing a global team. They have previously held positions such as Global Site Activation Lead and Senior Global Site Activation Lead, contributing significantly to project management activities across various regions. Carlos earned an MSc in Medical Microbiology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and completed specialized training in Clinical Research at the Eurotrials Centre for Clinical Research Training. Their earlier experience includes a research fellowship at Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical and biomedical roles in several laboratories.
