Cathy Simmons currently serves as an In-House Clinical Research Associate at ICON plc since October 2021, following a long tenure at GlaxoSmithKline from December 1996 to 2017, where Cathy held the position of Scientific Leader and conducted independent research focused on disease-relevant biochemical and cellular models to assess the efficacy of new chemical entities and target validation. Prior to that, Cathy worked as a Research Associate at the University of California-Davis from May 1986 to March 1996. Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
