Joel Standford, BSc, is a Senior Clinical System Lead at ICON plc, where they have led various Clinical Data Science project teams since 2017. With over eight years of experience in the Clinical Research industry, Joel has played pivotal roles in risk management and quality assurance initiatives. They previously served as an Operations Lead and Project Manager, focusing on implementing risk-based monitoring and enhancing operational efficiency. Prior to joining ICON, Joel worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant at the NHS, where they developed competencies in handling and analyzing human specimens. Joel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Southampton in 2017.
