Marcelo Gomes

Marcelo Gomes is currently a Medical Director for Neuroscience and Pain at ICON plc, a position held since 2021. Previously, they accumulated extensive experience in medical affairs and neuroscience at Novartis, where they served in various roles, including LATAM Medical Expert and Head of Medical Affairs. Prior to this, Marcelo worked at Biogen as an Associate Medical Director for Brazil and held the position of Country Medical Director at Alcon. They earned their MD from Universidade Federal de São Paulo and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas, along with completing a residency in Child Neurology.
