Marelise Epstein, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the field of laboratory operations. Marelise is currently the Senior Vice President Laboratory Operations at ICON plc, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Laboratory Operations at ICON plc from June 2021 to May 2022.

Marelise's extensive experience in laboratory operations began at PathCare, where they worked as an Intern Technologist from February 1999 to March 2001. Marelise then moved on to Blackrock Clinic Laboratory, where they served as a Medical Scientist from October 2001 to April 2003.

In 2003, Marelise joined ICON Central Laboratories, where they held a series of increasingly responsible roles. Marelise started as the Bacteriology Section Head from April 2003 to March 2004, before becoming the Infectious Diseases Section Head from March 2004 to July 2006. Marelise then transitioned into a managerial role as the Manager of Infectious Diseases from July 2006 to April 2008, followed by an Associate Director position from April 2008 to October 2012. Marelise then took on the role of Director of Infectious Diseases Laboratory from October 2012 to January 2014, overseeing specialised testing areas such as Microbiology, EIA, RIA, and Molecular testing. Marelise then became the Director of Laboratory Operations at ICON Central Laboratories in Dublin, Ireland from February 2014 to March 2022. In this role, they had global operational responsibility for Flow Cytometry and oversaw all testing areas, including general safety testing and specialised testing.

Throughout their tenure at ICON Central Laboratories, Marelise demonstrated exemplary leadership skills, serving as the Senior Director of Laboratory Operations from April 2019 to March 2022. In this role, they were directly responsible for operations in both Dublin, Ireland, and Farmingdale, NY, central laboratories. Marelise managed a team of six employees and indirectly oversaw a team of approximately 200.

Marelise Epstein, MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a field of study in Biomedical Science at Nelson Mandela University from 1997 to 2001.
