Michael A. Gallagher

Michael A. Gallagher serves as the Head of Group Reporting and Corporate Controller - Senior Director of Finance at ICON plc since September 2023, overseeing financial reporting for a NASDAQ-listed group with a market capitalization exceeding $26 billion. Key responsibilities include managing annual reports under US GAAP and IFRS, preparing quarterly reports, and liaising for group audits. Prior roles include Director of Finance at Thérapie Clinic, and Director of Finance at Amaris Hospitality, as well as Chief Financial Officer at Falcon Oil & Gas. Michael has also contributed to the Financial Reporting Council as a member of both the Advisory Panel and the Corporate Reporting Council. Michael's educational background includes an ACA from Chartered Accountants Ireland, a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin, and a BA (Hons) in Accounting from Ulster University.
