Robert Watson

Robert Watson is an experienced professional in the field of industrial automation, currently serving as the General Manager of the Regional Office at ICONSYS - Automated Technology Solutions since January 2019. In this role, Robert is focused on establishing a new regional office and building a skilled team of drive, PLC, SCADA engineers, project managers, and support staff while fostering long-term partnerships across various industries. Prior to this, Robert held multiple leadership positions including Sales Director, Commercial Director - Print, and Regional Director at Harland Simon from August 1987 to October 2018, and worked as a Sales and Contracts Engineer at GEC Transmission & Distribution Projects Ltd from August 1983 to August 1987. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University, completed from 1978 to 1983, and attended Merchant Taylors School in Crosby from 1973 to 1978.
