Basma Tabaja is currently the Head of Mission at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), having held the position since 2023. Prior to this role, Basma served as the Deputy Head of Delegation at the ICRC from 2013 to 2020, and they have also worked as a Communication Officer and Political Advisor within the organization. Earlier in their career, Basma was a Senior News Reporter at KSA 2 television from 2007 to 2011. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the American University of Beirut between 2004 and 2007.
