Zaher OSMAN

Health focal point for ILoT & Lebanon

Zaher Osman is a dedicated health scientist currently serving as the health focal point for ILoT and Lebanon at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). With extensive experience that includes roles in medical care services and health science across Lebanon, Libya, and Cameroon, Zaher has contributed to humanitarian health efforts since 2012. Zaher earned a Medical Doctor degree from Kabul Medical Faculty and holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Disease Control from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, along with a certification in Applied Epidemiology from CDC Atlanta. Prior to the current role, Zaher served as the health head of sector for Eurasia and the Americas at the ICRC from 2022 to 2024.
