Roger Gomis

Roger Gomis is an accomplished research professional currently serving as an ICREA Research Professor at the Institució Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avançats since September 2013. Gomis also co-founded Inbiomotion S.L. in 2011, leading innovative research in the field. As a Group Leader at IRB Barcelona since October 2007, the laboratory focuses on the mechanisms controlling cell proliferation and cancer metastasis. Earlier, Gomis held the position of ICREA Researcher at the same institution from 2007 to 2012 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, researching TGFbeta responses related to breast cancer. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universitat de Barcelona and a Business degree from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
