Maria Pia Cosma is an accomplished researcher currently serving as an ICREA Research Professor and Senior Group Leader at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) since April 2010. Prior experience includes positions as a Lecturer at the European School of Molecular Medicine (SEMM) from 2004 to 2010 and at Tigem from 2000 to 2003, where Maria Pia also held the title of EMBO Young Investigator. Maria Pia began a Marie Curie Fellowship at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) from 1997 to 2000. Educationally, Maria Pia Cosma obtained a Master University degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Naples, where studies commenced in 1993, following earlier education at the School of Medicine, University of Naples from 1991 to 1993.
