Saikat Datta Mazumdar

Saikat Datta Mazumdar is the current Chief Operating Officer of the NutriPlus Knowledge Program at ICRISAT. Prior to this, they were a faculty member at Philipps-Universität Marburg from January 2004 to December 2008, where they conducted research in nano technology with a focus on developing biosensors. From January 1998 to December 2004, they worked for Unilever as a researcher. Mazumdar has dedicated their career to developing innovative solutions in the field of food and agriculture, and their work has helped to improve the lives of people around the world.

Saikat Datta Mazumdar has a Masters in Food Science and Technology from the Central Food Technological Research Institute. Saikat also has an ICSE from St Edmunds School in Shillong.

They are on a team with R Padmaja - Senior Scientist, Gender Research, Murali Krishna Gumma - Cluster Leader, Geospatial & Big Data Sciences, and Ram Kiran Dhulipala - Cluster Leader, Digital Agriculture. Their manager is Anthony Whitbread, Research Program Director, Innovation Systems for the Drylands & Country Representative, Tanzania.
