Scott Briner

R. Scott Briner, MBA, FACHE has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in the healthcare industry. R. Scott is currently the Chief Operating Officer and previously served as the Chief Administrative Officer at iCRYO since August 2019. Prior to that, they worked at LifeGift as the Director of the LifeGift Institute for the Future of Transplantation from February 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining iCRYO and LifeGift, Briner held leadership positions at various organizations. R. Scott served as the Chief Executive Officer at Sweeny Community Hospital in Sweeny, Texas from December 2016 to August 2019, where they were responsible for strategic initiatives such as the development of a replacement hospital campus and the implementation of a new medical record system. R. Scott also focused on improving overall organizational performance in financial management, operational efficiencies, clinical quality, leadership development, and strategic planning.

Prior to their role at Sweeny Community Hospital, Briner worked at CHI St. Luke's Health as the Vice President of Professional Services from April 2007 to December 2016. During their tenure, they provided executive leadership in key areas including stakeholder satisfaction, marketing, strategic planning, physician recruitment, and operational oversight of ambulatory clinical areas.

Briner also worked as the Vice President of Marketing at Appendant Marketing Group from April 2006 to April 2007. Earlier in their career, they served as the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Fayette Regional Health System from September 1997 to April 2006. In this role, they successfully executed a 5-year strategic plan, achieved market share gains, and implemented customer satisfaction improvements.

With their extensive experience in healthcare leadership, Briner brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role at iCRYO.

R. Scott Briner, MBA, FACHE completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Psychology from Wilmington College (OH) between 1988 and 1992. R. Scott then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Indiana Wesleyan University, which they completed between 2003 and 2005.
