John Nicholson

John’s executive career has been spent in consumer goods, working initially for ICI and Unilever, before he moved into the drinks industry with Fosters Brewing Group, Scottish & Newcastle PLC and latterly Heineken NV. He has held senior positions in Marketing and Sales, and been Strategic and Corporate Development Director at S&N (1997-2000) where he was involved in a large number of international corporate transactions, before assuming international General Management roles and an Executive PLC Board position (2000-2008). Between 2008 and 2013 he was the Heineken President for their North and South America business interests, and also sat on the Executive Board.

He has been an Executive Director on a number of listed businesses ,and now has a portfolio of Non Executive Director positions. His current portfolio includes AG Barr PLC (UK) where he is Chairman, Stock Spirits PLC as Senior Independent Director, PZ Cussons PLC as Senior Independent Director, he is also on the Advisory Board for Edinburgh University Business School. Previously he was Chairman Baltic Beverage Holdings AB (Sweden), Chairman of OAO Baltika Breweries (Russia) , Deputy Chairman CCU SA (Chile) 2008-2016, Director of United Breweries (India) 2005- 2008, Director North American Breweries inc (USA)2013-2018.
