Tom LaPlante

Tom LaPlante, former CIO TopGolf, offers more than 30 years of experience and a broad background in the fields of travel, hospitality, retail and entertainment. He led the expansion of TopGolf from the 5 US locations to 16 locations (now 65+) with another 9 sites under construction. He designed and led the building of a scalable technology and marketing analytics platform that enabled revenue growth from <$40M to >$350M in annual revenues in less than three years.

Tom also worked at Caesar’s Entertainment, the world’s largest gaming industry. His wide-ranging career includes consulting experience from various firms, ranging from some of the largest consulting companies in the world to boutique management and technology strategy companies.

Tom has built data warehouse and analytics capabilities at multiple companies that enabled daily operational improvements, targeted marketing campaigns as well as identifying new sources of revenue.

Tom’s other areas of expertise includes the implementation of mobile applications, creating and activating digital display solutions and the integration of social media into many companies.

Currently, he is a strategic advisor and interim CIO to growing companies such as — a healthcare services company; an e-Sports platform company; private e-commerce platform; and other marketplace companies

Tom is well versed in strategy formulation and digital transformations utilizing Big Data, building scalable platforms, driving shareholder value through the use of Analytics, and implementing Cloud technologies as well as mobile platforms.
