Mattia Fosci has a diverse work experience, beginning with a consular trainee position in 2006 with the Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale. In 2001, they served as a Project Manager for TeCum, helping integrate children with disability and socially disadvantaged teenagers in society. In 2009, they worked as a Researcher for Climate Focus, and in 2010 they were a Campaigner for Global Witness, providing strategic legal input into the negotiating position of the UK and the EU when negotiating the REDD chapter of the UNFCCC treaty. In 2010, they also started and led a sustainable development project in Ecuador as a Project Lead for TRAFFIC, and worked as a Freelance Consultant for governmental, non-governmental and private sector organisations. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Lecturer at the University of Leicester, and in 2016 they founded Yoop, a Web and mobile app that let people rate, share and discover media content. In 2019, they founded ID Ward, a mission-driven company using AI technology to help media publishers better engage and monetise their audiences while protecting user privacy, transparency and security.
Mattia Fosci has a diverse education history, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Università degli Studi di Cagliari in 2005. Mattia then went on to pursue a MA in International Relations from the same institution from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they obtained an LLM in International Law and Legal Studies from the University of Nottingham in 2009. In 2010, they became a Fellow of Chatham House and in 2014, they became a Fellow of The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). In 2019, they became a Member of the Institute of Directors - London Region. Most recently, Mattia Fosci completed an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2020.
