Deirdre Moran's work experience includes several roles at IDA Ireland. From 2019 onwards, they have served as the SVP Technology & Country Manager - Canada. Prior to this, they worked in various positions within the company starting from 2009. Their responsibilities involved identifying and building relationships with high-growth companies, particularly in San Francisco, the Bay Area, Utah, and Colorado. Deirdre also developed valuable connections with advisors such as venture capital firms, private equity firms, consultants, legal and tax firms. Deirdre provided comprehensive support to companies exploring global expansion opportunities in Ireland, assisting them in various areas including business modeling, recruitment strategies, finance, legal, tax, property selection, PR, and infrastructure. Additionally, they worked with internet and game companies to establish new operations in Ireland and help existing companies expand and add research, development, and innovation functions to their Irish operations.

Deirdre Moran's education history includes a Mini MBA Program - Executive Development from McGill University in 2019, specializing in Advanced Management and Integrated Management Thinking. In 2015, they completed a Project Management program at UC Berkeley Extension. In 2010, Deirdre obtained a Diploma in Internet Marketing from Dublin Business School. Deirdre holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial (Management) Engineering with German from the University of Galway, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. As part of an Erasmus Programme, they also studied Industrial Engineering at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in 2002 to 2003. Deirdre also obtained a certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University in December 2022.
