John Nugent

John Nugent has extensive experience in business development and relationship management, currently serving as a Department Manager for Medical Technologies and Healthcare Services at IDA Ireland since October 2002. Their roles at IDA Ireland have included managing business development efforts across various regions, encouraging growth and collaboration among overseas companies in the Border Region and North West of Ireland, and attracting clean technologies. Prior experience includes a Vice President role, assisting West Coast companies in evaluating Ireland for international operations across diverse sectors, and serving as a Business Development Executive with multinational corporations. Before joining IDA Ireland, John Nugent worked at Enterprise Ireland, aiding indigenous companies with business plans and development, and has a background as an Analytical Chemist. John Nugent holds a Master's degree in Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and further degrees in Environmental Chemistry and Chemistry from the Irish Management Institute and Queen's University Belfast, respectively.
