Rod Trzcinski has a wealth of experience in the banking and finance industry. Rod began their career at Eastern National Bank, where they served as Vice President of Corporate Lending for ten years. During this time, they supervised and performed various lending activities, including those involving EXIM Bank loans. Rod also cross-sold credit enhancement loan products and managed credit card programs.
Rod then moved on to Colonial Bank, where they held the role of Vice President of Commercial Lending. Here, they specialized in real estate transactions in the South Florida area and handled all types of commercial loans. Rod sat on the Officers Loan Committee and had responsibilities in underwriting, collections, and litigation for their portfolio.
After their tenure at Colonial Bank, Rod joined Union Bank as Vice President of Commercial Lending. In this role, they developed and maintained profitable client relationships, managed collections, and retained client loyalty. Rod also secured financial information for underwriting and facilitated all types of larger real estate, construction, and commercial loans.
Rod then returned to Colonial Bank as a Vice President before transitioning to First Southern Bank as Senior Vice President. At First Southern Bank, they served as the Senior Lending Officer and Head of the Construction Lending department. In this capacity, they oversaw all construction loans, managed funding, and monitored progress. Additionally, they developed commercial business and relationships for the bank.
Following their time at First Southern Bank, Rod worked as a Financial Consultant, providing in-depth financial analysis, loan review, risk assessment, credit underwriting, and cash flow analysis to local community banks. Rod also offered business advice and recommendations for real estate, acquisitions, and bank negotiations.
Most recently, Rod joined IDB Bank as First Vice President and later advanced to the role of Senior Vice President. As Group Head for Commercial Real Estate Lending in Florida, they were responsible for a wide range of activities including loan production, relationship building, portfolio management, risk assessment, credit underwriting training, and team management. Rod also served as a local expert on interest rate derivatives and cash management.
Throughout their career, Rod has demonstrated strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of commercial lending, expertise in credit underwriting and portfolio management, and a talent for building and maintaining client relationships.
Rod Trzcinski obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from The University of Alabama between 1976 and 1980. During their time at the university, they focused on Corporate Finance & Investment Management, International Business, and General Management. Later, from 1996 to 1999, they pursued a Graduate degree in Banking at Louisiana State University. Prior to their university education, Rod Trzcinski earned a High School Diploma from Jefferson Davis High School, where they excelled in the French National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society).
