Josh Monk

Josh Monk has a diverse work experience starting from 2007 to the present. Josh is currently working at Ideagen as the Global Head of Cyber Security since October 2022. Prior to that, they were a Principal Cyber Security Lead at Ideagen from June to November 2022. From July 2021 to June 2022, they worked as a Principal Cyber Security Engineer at Ideagen, where they were responsible for operating and enhancing security monitoring tools, automating auditing and monitoring of technical systems, and assisting with training and compliance standards.

Before joining Ideagen, Josh worked at Huddle from October 2019 to July 2021 as a SecOps Engineer. Due to a change in management, they also took on the role of Head of Information Security, leading various audits and penetration testing.

In 2019, they worked as a Digital Marketing Manager at OK Franchise Division from March to October.

From 2014 to 2019, Josh worked at Assima, holding different roles such as Product Owner - Cloud Infrastructure, Test Manager, QA Lead, and Senior Software Tester. Josh'sresponsibilities included managing the Cloud Infrastructure team, overseeing QA activities, implementing automation testing systems, and ensuring the security of the product.

Prior to that, they worked at iEnabler as an IT Business Analyst in 2014, Windscreen Direct as a Microsoft Consultant from August 2013 to February 2014, and iSolve as a Branch Manager, Operations Manager Coastal - Learning Solutions, and Training Manager from 2010 to 2013.

Lastly, from 2007 to 2010, they worked at IT Intellect as a Training Manager, where they managed the training staff and also took care of the network infrastructure.

Josh Monk attended Rhodes University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. Before that, they attended York High School from 1996 to 1999, although no degree or field of study is provided for their high school education. In 2016, they obtained a certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board, specifically the ISTQB Foundation certification.
