⛴Julian Galvis

Julian Galvis has a wealth of experience in the maritime industry. ⛴Julian began their career in 1998 as a Student International Trade Team Member for the State of Alabama, where they were competitively selected by the State of Alabama Department of Industry, Tourism, and Travel for a 2-year paid internship. ⛴Julian then moved to MAERSK SEALAND in 2000, where they worked as an Import Coordinator, supervising 6 direct reports and coordinating closely with internal and external providers to ensure timely delivery and release of cargo for a variety of corporate and industrial clients. In 2002, they were promoted to South Atlantic Imports Assistant Manager at MAERSK Line in The Woodlands, TX. In 2004, they moved to APM Terminals in Miami, FL, where they served as the Assistant Marine Manager. In 2008, they were recruited by New Orleans Terminal as the Superintendent of Operations, where they managed operations and logistics for over 1,000 containers per vessel call. In 2011, they became a Consultant at Beacon Analytics, providing services and product solutions focused primarily around social service eligibility technology solutions, financial management services, and business process reengineering. In 2013, they joined Navis as a Consultant. Finally, in 2016, they became Sales Director at ABB, with accountability for sales pipeline and business development within the APAC, CAM, Caribbean, and US West Coast Regions. In 2018, they were appointed Vice President of Sales, Americas at IDENTEC SOLUTIONS.

Julian Galvis obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Huntingdon College between 1996 and 2000, with a field of study in Business Management and International Business. ⛴Julian then obtained a Professional Certification from APM Terminals between 2005 and 2006, with a field of study in Terminal Management.
