Chirag Patel

Chirag Patel has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Chirag started their career as a Software Developer at Adiance Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in 2004. Chirag then worked as a Project Lead at Agile from 2005 to 2007. Following this, they held the position of Programmer Analyst at J Vista Software and Aditi Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In 2008, they joined Ramp Technology Group as a Software Development Engineer, where they worked on critical software projects for eNom/DemandMedia.

In 2009, Chirag joined Rightside as a Senior Software Engineer, and they were promoted to Lead Software Engineer in 2012. Chirag played a significant role in the development of Top Level Domain Registry team for new gTLDs. Chirag continued to excel at Rightside, eventually becoming a Software Engineering Manager in 2014 and Senior Manager Software Engineering in 2016. Chirag contributed to software architecture and design, as well as the hiring and development of talented engineers.

In 2018, Donuts Inc. acquired Rightside, and Chirag transitioned to the role of Senior Manager Software Engineering. Chirag completed the migration of Donuts top-level domains Registry system into AWS cloud, leveraging various AWS services for scalability. Chirag then took on the role of Director, Software Engineering in 2020, where they continued to lead software engineering initiatives, such as migration to the cloud and managing additional software projects.

Throughout their career, Chirag has demonstrated a strong focus on software architecture, development practices, and process improvement. Chirag has a deep understanding of service-oriented architecture and has worked on projects aimed at achieving business agility and scale while reducing costs.

Chirag Patel holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (& Physics) from Bhavan's College of Science, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Chirag then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Applications (MCA) from Gujarat University, completing it from 2001 to 2005. Chirag also obtained a Diploma in Entrepreneurship from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India in 2005. Additionally, they have earned several certifications, including a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in 2012, and certifications in Agile Development, Blockchain, and other technical areas.
