Katie Higgins is an experienced marketing and communications professional with a diverse background in public relations, journalism, and strategic communication. Currently serving as the Marketing and Communications Manager at Meadow Brook Hall since August 2019, Katie oversees marketing initiatives for the historic venue. Prior to this role, Katie held various positions at Identity Marketing & Public Relations from January 2014, progressing from Account Assistant to Senior Account Executive, where expertise in branding, media relations, and creative design was developed. Previous experience includes serving as News Editor at Oakland University, District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Production Assistant/writer at WXYZ-TV, and Reporter/Editor at China Daily. Katie holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, English, and Creative Writing from Central Michigan University.
