Alex Gallafent

Alex Gallafent is an accomplished executive professional with extensive experience in design, strategy, and storytelling. Currently, Gallafent serves as the Executive Director at IDEO, leading initiatives to create innovative brands, products, and services while enhancing organizational relevance and competitiveness. Previous roles at IDEO included Senior Director of Narrative & Strategy, Design Director, and Senior Design Lead, emphasizing expertise in experience design and strategic storytelling across various sectors. Prior to IDEO, Gallafent held multiple positions at the BBC, where responsibilities included correspondent and producer for notable international programs. Academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Gallafent's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Analytical Philosophy from the University of Oxford and a Master’s in Classical Theater from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
