Betsy Fields Smith

Betsy Fields Smith is an experienced professional in design leadership, currently serving as Executive Design Director at IDEO since August 2005, where previous roles included Senior Director and Senior Design Lead. Smith has also contributed to academia as a Lecturer for the ME 115A course in Human Values in Design within the Stanford Mechanical Engineering Design Group from September 2010 to December 2013. Prior to IDEO, Smith worked as a Supervisor at McMaster-Carr Supply Co. from 2004 to 2005. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design from Stanford University, completed in 2004.
