Gary Burton-Wilcock has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Gary began their career in education, working as a Physics and Computer Science Teacher at St George's British International School from September 2013 to August 2018. In their most recent role, Gary worked as a Software Engineer at Otmoor Partners Ltd. from September 2018 to present. Gary also serves as the Principal Engineer, Sensor Design at IDEX Biometrics since December 2018.

Gary Burton-Wilcock completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in General Science at Durham University from 1977 to 1980. Gary then pursued further education and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Science teaching from the University of Oxford, which they completed from 1980 to 1981.
