Robert Livingston has a significant work experience in the field of R&D and scientific affairs. Robert is currently serving as the Director of R&D and Scientific Affairs at IDEXX BioAnalytics since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the positions of Director Operations and Scientific Affairs and Associate Director Operations and Scientific Affairs at the same company. Robert joined IDEXX BioAnalytics in November 2011 as the Head of IDEXX BioAnalytics Molecular Diagnostics, where they developed and validated real-time PCR assays to detect pathogens in laboratory animals, conducted basic research on rodent infectious diseases, and discovered and characterized novel and emerging pathogens. Before joining IDEXX BioAnalytics, they worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia from September 1999 to November 2011.

Robert Livingston completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Veterinary Pathology and Pathobiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1993 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1986 and 1989. Robert also attended the University of Iowa from 1983 to 1985, majoring in Microbiology, but did not obtain a degree during that period.
