Arun Nair

Arun Nair is an experienced professional in credit management and risk assessment, currently serving as Head of Credit for SME Retail Loans, Cards, Education Loans, and Education Infrastructure Loans at IDFC FIRST Bank since December 2018. Prior to this role, Arun was National Credit Manager for Business Loans at IDFC FIRST Bank and previously held similar positions at Capital First Limited. With a strong background in managing credit risk, Arun has worked at Tata Motor Finance as Head of Credit Risk & Policy, overseeing underwriting for commercial and passenger vehicles, and at ICICI Bank in various capacities, including Risk Head for unsecured loans and credit manager for consumption loans. Arun began a career in the automotive industry as a Production Engineer with Mahindra & Mahindra. Arun holds a Master's degree in Management Studies with a focus on Finance from VESIM and a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering from M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering.
