Karan Nagpal

Karan Nagpal is an experienced economist and regional director with a focus on economic policy and trade. Currently serving as the India Regional Director at IDinsight since October 2018, Karan has held various roles including Associate Director and Economist. Prior experience includes a PhD candidacy at the University of Oxford from October 2014 to October 2018 and serving as an ODI Fellow and Trade Advisor for the Government of Vanuatu from November 2012 to October 2014, where Karan was involved in trade agreement negotiations and the implementation of the Vanuatu Trade Policy Framework. Karan's earlier career includes internships at Micro Home Solutions, UBS Investment Bank, and HSBC. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Philosophy, both in Economics from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
