Ataur R Chowdhury

Ataur R Chowdhury's work experience includes positions at various companies, with a focus on the banking and finance industry. Ataur R began their career as a Management Trainee at The City Bank Ltd in February 2000. Ataur R then worked as an Executive Officer at the same company from 2001 to 2004. After that, they served as a Senior Executive Officer from 2005 to 2007 and Assistant Vice President from 2007 to 2009. At The City Bank Ltd, they also worked as a SAVP & Business Development Manager from July 2009 to March 2011.

Chowdhury joined IDLC Finance PLC in 2011. Ataur R held multiple roles at the company, starting as the Head of Credit Administration from March 2011 to March 2012. Ataur R then served as the Head of Operations from April 2012 to August 2020 and the Head of Consumer Division from September 2020 to June 2022. From July 2022 to December 2023, they worked as the Head of Local Corporate, and from January 2024 onwards, they have been the Head of Corporate at IDLC Finance PLC.

Ataur R Chowdhury holds an MBA degree in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. Additionally, they possess a BSS(Hons) & MSS degree in Economics, also from the University of Dhaka.
