Engineering Director - Connectivity & In Cabin Monitoring Systems at IDNEO

Santiago Rodríguez Fernández has a strong background in engineering and management roles. Santiago is currently serving as the Engineering Director for Connectivity & In Cabin Monitoring Systems at IDNEO since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Manager at NEXTIUM by Idneo from April 2021 to June 2023. Santiago also gained significant experience at FICOSA, where they held various roles including Engineering Manager from December 2019 to April 2021, Hardware Engineering Supervisor from April 2017 to December 2019, and Product Engineer Master in March 2017.

Before FICOSA, Santiago worked at bq S.L. as the Mobile Devices Manager for Hardware Development from August 2016 to March 2017. Santiago also served as the Hardware Chief Engineer for the Asia Division from May 2014 to July 2016, where they were responsible for assuring quality in the design and manufacturing of consumer electronics. Prior to that, they worked as an Ingeniero Hardware at bq S.L. from May 2013 to May 2014.

Before joining bq S.L., Santiago acquired valuable experience at Rade Tecnologias. Santiago served as an R&D Project Manager from December 2010 to May 2013, focusing on analog and digital electronics circuit design. Santiago also worked as an R&D Coordinator from November 2010 to January 2011, where they managed tasks, optimized costs, and improved department efficiency.

Santiago's career began at Treelogic S.L., where they worked as an R&D researcher from September 2007 to October 2010. Santiago conducted research on social robotic systems, developed multi-sensor systems for robotic platforms, and contributed to the development of SLAM algorithms for autonomous navigation.

In addition to their industry experience, Santiago had a scholarship at the Universidad de Oviedo from September 2007 to June 2008.

Santiago Rodríguez Fernández completed their undergraduate education from 2001 to 2007 at Universidad de Oviedo, where they earned a degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electronics and Automation. Santiago then pursued a Master's degree in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce from Universidad de Salamanca, completing it from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Santiago obtained certification from ThePower Business School in May 2022. Santiago completed the "ThePowerMBA program" and became a Business Expert through this program.
