Maria Petrova

Maria Petrova has over 10 years of professional experience, beginning with their role as Chief Specialist at the Russian Federal Space Agency in 2009. In this role, they managed environmental activities for all the branches of the company, including eco tax calculation, air pollution modeling, estimation and calculating waste diversion, and methods to store, transport and dispose of waste. Maria then moved into the role of Senior Specialist, providing oversight of subordinates and contractors for environmental investigation and remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, surface water, outdoor air, and soil vapor. Additionally, they developed materials for the draft designs, work documentation, programs and test methods for samples of technical means, created within the experimental designing for eliminating the effects on the environment during the spaceport activities. Most recently, Maria has been working as Chief Product Evangelist at iDoRecall.com since 2019.

Maria Petrova obtained their Specialist degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from Moscow State University of Design and Technology (MSUDT) between 2002 and 2007. Maria then continued their studies at MSUDT and became a PhD candidate in the same field from 2007 to 2010. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera, HarvardX, and The University of Queensland, including Introduction to Search Engine Optimization, Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects, SPU29x: The Climate-Energy Challenge, Carbon101x: Essential tools for the low carbon economy, and Write Professional Emails in English.
