Matt has devoted his entire career to IDS. Today, he continues to serve as District Engineer for several mature utility districts. As District Engineer, he represents the District’s interests before regulatory agencies and maintains close working relationships with regulatory agency staff to best understand current rules and provide input to proposed changes in policies and design criteria. He is responsible for facilitating wastewater treatment plant permits and authorization to construct applications, bond applications, engineering reports, surplus fund and escrows release applications, standby fee applications, water well permit applications, water and sewer rate studies, including conservation pricing, sanitary sewer infiltration studies, sanitary sewer rehabilitation, wastewater treatment process troubleshooting, water accountability studies, water well rehabilitations, water plant tank rehabilitation, capital improvement planning and financing, regional water and wastewater treatment plant budgeting, and development of recreational parks. Matt pushes the envelope to discover new ways to fulfill infrastructure needs.
